ProCare Therapy Services’ Occupational Therapists focus on orthopedic and neurological injuries, as well as impairments of the upper extremities. Additionally, our occupational therapists help each patient recover his/her ability to live independently by focusing on Activities Of Daily Living (ADL’s). We help retrain each patient by maximizing his/her ability to manage a home, shop, clean, dress, groom, cook, and maintain good hygiene.
Home safety evaluations are performed. Occupational therapists train and instruct patients how to use specialized rehabilitation equipment and techniques that improve their ability to conduct daily activities.
Patients may also learn how to conserve energy, improve basic motor function and reasoning abilities, and how to compensate for long-term changes in function. The goal of occupational therapy is to help patients lead independent, satisfying, and productive lives.
